Anyone have any suggestions for sources of repair tags? I've been using my current ones for some time, but have never been completely satisfied with them.

Thanks.

Hi Tom,

I'm in the processing of researching repair tags also.  My last batch came from Allied - the A841 tags.  Their price per 100 is $13 which is $65/500 (from the 2005 price list).  The sites I've found them at (listed below) shows them from $102/500 to $130/500.

Smart Resolution
XPrinting
PCS Business Forms
NEBS

I'll call Allied tomorrow and see what their current price is.  May just order from them again if their price really is what it says in the catalog.

Hope this helps,
Michelle

Correction on the above:
Allied's pricing is - $22.00 per hundred tags.  The $13/hundred tags is for the printing.  So if you want 500 tags that you will be stamping your company info on, it's $22 X 5 = $110.  But if you want 500 tags with your company info printed on them, it's 5($22+$13) = $175.

Thanks. Cost is not the only issue. I'm also looking at the actual design of the tag. I'll look at those other sources.

What is it about the tag that you don't like?  Are you looking for a customized tag?

Sorry for the delay.

Somewhere I thought I saw a tag which had a number of checkboxes for the work done/items replaced. I have NO idea when or where that was. I do remember it was the size of the NEBS tags & was a "portrait" layout, as opposed to the "landscape" design.

Still looking!

I've posted 2 pics of checkbox tags in the Pictures>Tools folder. There's one for customer repairs and 2 (copied onto 1 page) for in-house work on store stock. They came from Driscol Music as handouts at the NAPBIRT clinic they hosted last year. There's contact info on the tags, so if it's close to what you were looking for, you can probably call and find out if they designed them entirely on their own or if they customized a stock tag from a print shop and how to get some made if you want. The shop manager's name is Jon. Even if it was an "on their own" thing, it should be fairly easily reproducible on a computer, and then I'd think you could get a print shop to make some for you in duplicate or triplicate.

Peter,

I've removed the pictures from the site.  You need to get permission from Tony at Driscol Music to post them as they belong to Driscol Music.  I've sent you two emails about it.

Thanks,
Michelle
